For overall insights and tactic, have a look at these rules and some Basic Tactics:
SMU: (Social Media Universe) Owned and earned materials across Facebook, X/Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok — for the studio, network, streamer, show and cast — all combined. Indexed score is in relationship to comps by sub-genre. 5.0 is average. Under 5.0 indicates moderate to light awareness with room-for-improvement.
BASIC TACTIC: Content load (light, average or strong) is the general driver of engagement and growth, so as the cadence of materials builds, the SMU plus views, fans, sharing and buzz will grow.
BASIC TACTIC: Campaign runway. Start early.
Cross-promotional tactics drive awareness, views, fan counts and chatter, so this strategy must be addresses aggressively.
Targeting strategy is a key component of paid buys.
Activity of KPIs: Key Performance Indicators, by social platform, by RelishMix’s (20-25) KPIs, each indexed from 1-10 and averaged into an overall KPI score.
DOTS platform Insights identify the index levels 1-10 of each social platform, so if YT, IG, X, YT to TT is under 5, then these can be addressed in order to lift KPIs by social platform.
BASIC TACTIC: Campaign runway has an impact on momentum. So, if possible, starting earlier is better.
Common issue: We see some pages launched very late in campaigns.
Cast Activation Levels: from non-social, to social non-activated, to activated, indexed from 1-10 for the entire cast.
BASIC TACTICS: If a cast member is non social, they can be part of the campaign in other ways.
A common reason that cast who are social are NOT posting is that that are not being fed materials, so make sure that cast reps have access to quality material that feature their clients.
Common issue: Some cast are social, but do not activate until they see the film.
Some cast have major brand deals, so that can either be an opportunity or an issue.
Convo: Conversation Analysis — From positive, mixed and negative — 5.0 is mixed, indexed from 1-10.
Mixed and negative convo can be addressed in many ways.
BASIC TACTIC: Some addressable issues in convo can be answered in new materials.
Common issue: Some fan chatter is simply incorrect.
Keep an eye on convo and in some cases, address these issues in comments.
